In the 1930’s during the great depression, Lee Douglas sets out not only to find work, but to find something more, something that could change his life forever.
Traveling to California alone, he is thrown together with many “interesting” characters that collectively teach him the true story of life’s purpose and meaning. As he finds work, he sends the money home to his sister, Jenny, in Caddo Gap, Arkansas.
Through the long journey to California, narrow escapes, and undaunted perseverance, Lee learns the true history of time. When a mine shaft caves in on Lee, it makes him think about all he has discovered, resulting in a deeper understanding of how scripture and science work hand in hand.
